Nr. 1732 - Francisco da Costa, merchant in Amsterdam, has a letter authenticated in which Francisco Gomes Pina warns him to have the four cases of sugar claimed that were sent from Pernambuco for the account of Da Costa to Joao de Leao in Porto, since the said Leao was taken prisoner by the Inquisition. Francisco Lopes Henriques, Joan de Haro and Diogo Lopes, merchants in Amsterdam, declare that the letter was signed by the said Pina in Pernambuco. 1619, May 29 Not. Arch. 645 A, p. 697; Not.
