Here are some cases of sugar that have come from Hamburg with the ship of Jan Pietersz. Gort, according to the statement ofSimon de Goijer. It appears that of three cases destined for Rodrigues, one case has been washed empty and that one case of white sugar and one case of muscovado sugar are one fourth empty. Of six cases of sugar destined for Do Vale, one case of white sugar is filled for one sixth part and the other cases are more or less damaged or empty. Rodrigues and Do Vale say that they will claim the damages from the skipper. The notary declares that Simon de Goijer heard from the skipper thathe ship shipped heavy seas. 1622, October 21 Not.
