Nr. 1986 - Felipe Henriques, Portuguese merchant in Amsterdam, declares to have received from Laurens Joosten Baeck, merchant in Amsterdam, 540 guilders in payment of 100 pounds Flemish, for which sum Baeck had insured sugar for Henriques in August 1618. The sugar had been loaded for the account of Antonio Lopes Nabo in the ship De Swarte Leeuw of skipper Pieter Jansz. from Delft, for a journey from Lisbon and surrounding places to Livorno. If Baeck is unable to prove to the Insurance Chamber within two years that Henriques acted in bad faith, Baeck will pay Henriques the remaining 10 pounds Flemi.
